Four Points by Sheraton is a sleek new hotel in the Docklands precinct in Melbourne. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure to stay in one of the 16 deluxe studio rooms in the 273-room hotel. The design is very smart and contemporary, with grey tones and oak cabinetry. The rooms feature beautiful views of The Melbourne Star, the Yarra River and the city of Melbourne. It offers a variety of hotel amenities, including a heated outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness centre.
On the ground level you will also find three dining options, including a bistro-style restaurant, a brew bar and a cafe. Otherwise, across the road is Harbour Town, which recently underwent an $150-million makeover and is now a wonderful shopping complex, with cinemas, bars and restaurants right at your doorstep. The hotel is also super accessible with a 10-minute free tram into the city just steps away from the hotel.
BEER CHA AT DOCK 18 RESTAURANT
For dinner, we headed downstairs to the hotel’s restaurant, Dock 18, where we indulged in ‘Beer Cha’, a brand new dining concept in Melbourne. You have 3 Asian and 2 craft beers from the hotel’s ‘Best Brews’ program alongside the restaurant’s signature Vietnamese chicken, Asian slaw salad with roast sesame dressing, and 2 dishes of your choice from the Beer Cha menu. The food was incredible which the soft crab buns a standout for me. Definitely a fun experience whilst you’re in the Docklands!
