As I’m rugged up on the couch right now looking out at the stormy, cold sky, it’s hard to believe these photos were only taken yesterday. I guess that’s Melbourne for you (still trying to plan my relocation to a warmer climate – I hear Malta has 300 days of summer?). As soon as the sun came out over the weekend, I couldn’t wait to show off one of my favourite trends of the season – ruffles. They took a long time to go grow on me but now I can’t look back. I snagged this pretty pink pearl studded off the shoulder blouse on sale for $21 which also comes in white and black. The pink ruffles are what really got me though. I never thought I’d see the day blush pink and neutrals would start taking over black in my wardrobe but here we are… and I’m not mad about it.
One of my other favourite pieces for Spring is this denim skirt I picked up from Topshop. I always look to Topshop for denim, the quality is always so good and well-fitting – I haven’t worn a more comfortable denim skirt! It has this cute but subtle floral embroidery on the side and immediately I thought it’d be a great match with the blouse. I can’t seem to find the exact one online but I’ve linked similar ones below. I finished off the look with nude ankle strap heels (on sale for $40) which are seriously the most comfortable pair of heels I own. I feel like every girl needs a pair of nude ankle strap heels, they just pair with everything!
Top (under $25), also available in white and black | Skirt – Topshop (not available online), similar here, here and here | Bag – Colette (sold out), similar here and here | Heels (on sale for $40), also love these and these
Also I just want to say a special thank you to you guys for sticking along as I took a bit of a break from SC over the past few months. Your comments and support mean so much to me and I’m so incredibly happy to be back and posting! Lots of love, always – Angela x
