An Unexpected Wardrobe Essential

The Wide Leg Pant

I’m a fan of basics and investing in items you can get a lot of wear out of so suffice to say, I did feel as though my wardrobe was well equipped when it came to essentials. When it comes to pants, I’d say about 95% of my collection consists of skinny jeans in every colour. Then a couple boyfriend jeans and black trouser pants for more formal/work occasions. But as soon as I tried on these wide leg pants, I wondered how I ever lived without them.

Whether you dress them up with heels for a formal dinner, or take it down a notch with flats for an afternoon event, they’ve undoubtedly become my ultimate go-to for almost every occasion. They’re extremely versatile and are such a lovely alternative to a skirt or dress. They’re easy to style (go for a cute crop or tucked in cami) and always look so flattering and sophisticated.

By just adding one pair into your wardrobe, it will give you a whole new series of outfits. I do believe I get more compliments wearing wide leg pants than almost any other item! There’s just something about them… you know? And when it comes to colours, my essentials have been black, white and one with a pop of colour like the ones I’m wearing.

Speaking of the ones I’m wearing, I’ve kind of fallen for them. I was afraid they’d be too pink but they turned out to be a gorgeous muted nude pink rather than bright blush pink. I paired them with a white cami, white sandals, sunglasses and a simple black handbag for a day full of shopping and running errands.
