My Latest Saviours for Dry & Damaged Hair

Healthy Hair Saviours

From bleach, and hair dye, to constant heat and damaging hair extensions, I feel like my hair has really been through it all. There were times when I truly didn’t think it would make it, but here I am, with my hair probably at the healthiest it’s ever been. Despite that, it’s still remains quite dry, so I guess you could say we’re still on the road to recovery.

And the road to recovery all starts with the basics: a good quality shampoo and conditioner.

A good quality shampoo and conditioner does not mean you have to spend a fortune. Not too long ago I discovered Pantene’s Ultimate 10 Repair and Protect Shampoo and Repair and Protect 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner, which are ultimately designed to repair damaged hair, and I’ve been using it ever since. I’ve previously shared my favourite haircare tips and tricks, but I want to introduce you guys to a new staple in my hair care routine that has helped replenish and maintain moisture in my hair. The best part is it’s completely inexpensive! You wont have to go spending $40 on each product and it still leaves your hair feeling very nourished.

Ultimate 10 Repair and Protect Shampoo

The reason this shampoo is called the “Ultimate 10 Repair and Protect” is because it is a shampoo that delivers 10 hair benefits in one. These include helping to prevent split ends, strengthen against breakage, smoothes, moisturises, softens, reveals shine, improves manageability, detangles, restores natural volume, and controls frizz. It’s basically everything you would hope for in a shampoo.

I hadn’t used Pantene in years before having the opportunity to try this out as I’ve stuck to products purchased from hairdressers. I was honestly a little nervous to try this out and wasn’t expecting much, but it truly did surprise me. The scent is beautiful with slight floral notes, but nothing too overpowering, and if I was to guess, I’d have thought I was using a much more expensive shampoo.

It’s suitable for all hair types that are prone to dry, damaged and frizzy hair. For me personally, I have quite thick and wavy hair that sometimes has a mind of its own when it comes to splitting and frizz (a special thanks to heat styling appliances), and in conjunction with the 3-minute miracle conditioner, it’s been a fantastic system for an even better price. Repair and Protect 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner

To first give you a bit of an introduction, the 3 minute miracle conditioner is recommended for those with weak damaged hair due to frequent styling and colouring. It’s given its name because it is said to help repair 3 months of damage in 3 minutes. A pretty big call if you ask me. Now I’m not quite sure that it lives up to that expectation, but it is definitely no disappointment. I can tell you that my hair is feeling stronger, hydrated, and much more full. And for the price of a drugstore hair care product, it does an incredible job.

I think this conditioner would be ideal for those of you with thinner hair, prone to breakage, looking for fullness and volume. The only downside is that there is a small amount of product in the tube (180 ml compared to the typical 350 ml) but again, you do only need a small amount, even when you have as much hair as me.

If you’re looking for a great conditioner without having to spend a fortune, then this product is definitely going to do the job very well. It’s been over 24 hours and my hair still feels so soft and bouncy! If you’re interested in more reviews of this product, check them out here.

  • Pantene is my go-to brand when it comes to hair! I also love using Head&Shoulders as well (they just released a new shampoo) because I don’t have to use a conditioner afterwards. Besides, it smells glorious (especially the apple one!) and it is not just for people who struggle with dandruff. x

This sounds great for you, sadly my hair doesn’t bode well with Pantene. :( I also have dry and frizzy hair and I combat it with the Organix conditioner! They’re really good for the hair and smells good too. :D
