My Latest Beauty Obsession: Pixi MultiBalms

Pixi by Petra Multibalms

When I was 16, I became hooked on beauty blogs. I would spend hours online every day reading product reviews and discovering all the latest releases. I was completely immersed in the beauty blogging world. One of the first products I had ever bought after reading a review was Pixi’s Lash Line Ink and I believe it was the first beauty product I ever reviewed. From that day, Pixi has been a brand I’ve been loyal to all throughout my teenage years and now into my twenties. Six years on and I’m still expressing my adoration for their products.

As you can imagine, I was so excited when these showed up on my doorstep. I quickly unboxed them and had a little play which you would’ve seen if you have me on snapchat! And I have to confess, I’m in love. I’m not really one for multipurpose makeup items, I have no idea why, they’ve just never really taken my interest. But you guys, these are exactly what my makeup collection was missing (and possibly yours too).

Basically, they’re a cheek and lip balm with a cream to powder formula. They are infused with aloe vera, shea butter, and rose hip oil, which explains how incredibly soft and hydrating they are on the lips! If you’re like me and appreciate a dewy, glowing finish, then you will love these MultiBalms.

I think these would be particularly great during Summer and for those “barely there” makeup days. Just pick a colour and dab it onto your cheeks for a splash of colour, and then onto your lips to pull the look together. Effortless. They’re also the PERFECT travel companion if you’re rushing in and out of places (me in a nutshell). Not only because of the size, but because they’re a cream product, so you can apply with your fingers, a beauty blender or stippling brush.

Plus, could we talk about how cute the packaging is?! I feel like Pixi products are always so on brand.

Sheer Sculpt, Wild Rose, Baby Petal, Soft Strawberry, Watermelon Veil

There’s a total of five shades in the collection; Sheer Sculpt, Wild Rose, Baby Petal, Soft Strawberry, and Watermelon Veil, and they retail at $21 AUD each. Quite a reasonable price considering they’re essentially a 2-in-1 product. I’m a big fan of all the colours, both on cheek and lip, but I think it would’ve been nice to have a few more in the collection that aren’t as vibrant. Although, I will say this is the perfect summer palette, don’t you think? My favourites are baby petal, which has become my go-to everyday lip colour, and wild rose, a gorgeous mauve rose. I literally cannot pull myself away from nudes and mauvey colours recently.

As you can probably tell, each colour packs a punch which I was really not expecting. All the shades can be built up and blend smoothly into the skin. They work great on top of foundation, moisturiser and even bare skin. When it comes to applying to the cheek, I just dab a bit onto my skin and blend it in with my fingers or a beauty blender. There’s an impressive colour payoff so be sure to start lightly and slowly build up the colour.
