Peach Rosé Sangria

Your new favourite summer drink:

Peach Rose Sangria

If you know me, you’ll know I am ALL ABOUT a sangria. Now thinking about it, it’s probably one of my favourite drinks any time of year. I’ve made so many versions in the past with both red and white wine, but surprisingly I had not tried rosé until now. Really not sure why because rosé is literally like my summer water.

When I came across this recipe for a peach rosé sangria, I pretty much ran to the grocery store… & I don’t regret it one bit. This sangria is seriously incredible. I know it’s not summer in Australia but I just couldn’t resist giving this a go and the result was so good that I felt it would be cruel not to share with you guys! Plus, it’s summer most places in the world, right?

I made this in a large pitcher so everyone could give it a try at home & get in on the fun. You could also get creative and pour it into a cute mason jar with frozen fruit & mint. Just so damn cute.

One of my girlfriends actually introduced me to this drink because it was such a hit at one of the parties she’d been to & I can totally see why. I’ve been playing around with the ingredients to make it as easy and healthy as possible, without sacrificing the flavour. In doing so, I’ve left you guys with both the normal version as well as the modified, skinny version below.

A lot of Sangria’s can be quite intimidating (especially when selecting the right wine), but this recipe only take 5 minutes to throw together and works with nearly every kind of rosé. Fun, fruity & PINK. It’s essentially summer in a glass.

I cannot wait for summer to roll around so I can make this on the regular. Doesn’t get much better than a warm night, surrounded by friends, sipping on chilled glasses of peach rosé.

any kind of rosé works great for a sangria – even the cheaper ones!

Peach Rosé Sangria

1 bottle rosé wine

½ cup peach liqueur

1 cup peach juice (try to find one that is natural with as little ingredients as possible – artificial versions ruin the drink. I prefer to make my own!)

1/3 cup of simple syrup

3 sliced peaches (I used white & yellow)

1 cup sliced strawberries and/or raspberries

Combine all fruit into a pitcher & adjust to suit your taste. Add fruit and refrigerate for several hours. Serve chilled, over ice.

Omit the simple syrup and use liquid stevia instead. I don’t usually measure it, I just go by taste so you might want to start with a few drops and go from there. Half the peach juice, add 1 cup of soda water and extra fruit!
