WERRIBEE PARK MANSION
GATE 2, K RD, WERRIBEE, VICTORIA, 3030
Over the weekend we took a little day trip to Werribee Park Mansion, just 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD. The mansion was built in 1877 with Italianete-style architecture and is surrounded by 10 hectares of formal gardens. It almost feels as if you’re not in Melbourne.
Situated behind Werribee Mansion in a separate wing is the Mansion Hotel and Spa. The luxurious hotel offers five star accommodation with day spa and restaurant for a luxurious getaway. But more on that another day because I’m hoping to book in sometime soon a review!
Entry to the park and surrounding gardens are free, but there is a fee to enter the mansion itself. We decided to just explore the gardens which were so lovely and I wish we had bought some food for a picnic! It seemed to be everyone’s plan for the sunny day.
There’s also a cute little cafe just outside the mansion and restaurants for a spot of afternoon tea inside.
I kept it simple with a black crop top and a grid patterned skort (yes, they’re shorts!) which for the life of me I cannot track down online, but I’ve left some variations below as always.
If you’re in Melbourne, take a little trip to the mansion for a day exploring and relaxation. A Sunday well spent, I’d say.
