I have this thing with giraffes.
I don’t know what it is, but they make me squeal and laugh at the same time because there’s something awkwardly funny and ADORABLE about them?
So when I came across the hotel Giraffe Manor, I basically died.
Giraffe Manor is a luxury boutique hotel located merely 20 kilometres from Kenya’s bustling capital city, Nairobi. It was set up by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife as a breeding and conservation center for the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. It’s easily accessible from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and once you arrive, I assume it will be a struggle to leave. Between the giraffes, the stunning decor, the fireplaces and luxury bedrooms, the entire place is completely captivating.
The main attraction is of course the fact it has a resident herd of Rothschild Giraffes that roam the grounds freely, frequently poking their faces through the windows!
The manor accommodates up to 25 guests in their 10 luxury designed rooms. All profits from the hotel go to the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW), which was founded by the owners.
Well, I’m off to go look up flights to Kenya so I can casually live with giraffes. Anyone else?
P.s. My birthday is April 4th for anyone wondering…
