Mount Macedon, Victoria, Australia
From vine covered buildings to white picket fences, Mount Macedon is a place made out of fairy tales. We visited over the weekend as I’d heard a few good things from travel bloggers and so of course, I needed to see it for myself.
We took the scenic road that winds its way to the top of Mount Macedon. The higher up we drove, the cleaner the air felt. At the top, we found Forest Glade Gardens which looks like a playground for the rich and famous. Really though, it was magical and although we were strolling around for an hour, there didn’t seem like there was an end to the paths.
If you’re planning a visit, be sure to bring along some food and drinks for the many picnic spots, or grab something from one of the little charming cafes in town. There’s also many galleries, nurseries and walking tracks – you might even spot a wombat or two!
