Brighton Beach

I’m not quite sure where the last few months have gone but with only 2 weeks left of summer, I though it might be a good idea to soak up the last of the sun at the beach. It was a sunny 23 degrees C, which I think just might be my ideal temperature (minus the wind). I wouldn’t consider it “beach” temperature, so I was a little surprised to see the beach was somewhat crowded. We headed out to Brighton beach to see the little colourful bathing boxes!

If you’re coming from Melbourne, it’s about an hour drive from the city. It’s even nice to visit in the cooler months just strolling around with a warm coffee. There’s some cute cafes nearby, scenic walking paths, and food trucks so you could easily make a whole afternoon of it.

I wore a maxi skirt for what could’ve been the first time ever. I’m always drawn to them but feel a little intimidated by the length. But this one was just too cute and the fact it had slits on the sides made it a lot more comfortable to wear. So basically I’m a total maxi convert.
