Does anyone else go through smoothie stages? I can’t get enough of green smoothies at the moment. This is one of my favourite recipes because it’s low calorie, but still leaves me with an energy buzz and is loaded with nutrients!
Kale: vitamin A, C & K, Calcium, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, iron – did you know kale has more iron per calorie than beef?
Spinach: high in fiber, antioxidants, lowers blood pressure, improves vision & strengthens immune system.
Raspberries: helps burn body fat, rich in vitamin A, boosts immune system & anti-aging.
Celery: high amount vitamin C, diuretic, prevents cancer, lowers cholestrol & blood pressure.
Banana: energy, potassium, iron & brain power.
Lemon: cleanses the bowels, combats cold & flu, aids weight loss and bodily functions.
2 stalks kale
2 handfuls spinach
Handful raspberries (or mixed berries)
Stalk of celery
Half a banana
Half a lemon (freshly squeezed)
1 tbsp chia seeds
Lots & lots of ice
Throw all ingredients into a high speed blender (I love this one) and blend until smooth.
