Heather Shimmer – 077 Asia – Kate 03
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any type of lipstick related post, hasn’t it? I recently picked up 3 lipsticks from my current favourite drugstore range, Rimmel Kate Long Lasting Finish. Heather Shimmer is a hard colour to describe, and I could
imagine it looking different on everyone but I’d call it a mixture of
brown, pink and mauve – possibly even a hint of red. As the name suggests, it does have shimmer in it,
but only slightly, making it more of a shiny finish. It also applies a bit more sheer than the rest of
the Rimmel lipsticks. I only tend to wear this when I tan, as I think it suits darker skin tones. Asia is a really gorgeous nude/brown shade, with pink undertones. It’s been really convenient to have in my bag, when I’m feeling something more than a nude, but less than a red. I’d say it suits most fair to medium skin tones. Kate 03 has quickly risen to become my favourite everyday nude. It looks more soft pink when applied, and is a perfect mix between brown and peach. It is no by no means a concealer nude, so you wont have to worry about being washed out.
All of these lipsticks, being from the same range, all have quite similar staying power. They last me up to 3 hours if I’m careful, which isn’t fantastic, but they all do leave a stain and I love the formulation. They don’t dry out your lips one bit, and if anything, keep them quite moisturised. For only $6.96 each on sale, I’m not complaining.
